Job description General Labourer
Duties:
Follow all Classteel Inc. safety rules, programs and procedures and applicable regulations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout the plant manually or using powered equipment.
Check materials and products.
Process parts through tumbler.
Clean parts using hand grinders, chippers or tumbler and mark identification numbers if required.
Palletize and band materials for shipping.
General housekeeping such as sweeping production area, recycling.
Participate in training programs as required.
Other general shop duties as assigned by your manager.
Overtime hours may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
*Medical exams or physical fitness tests may be given only after a job offer has been made to a candidate conditional on satisfactory health or physical fitness check.

Qualifications:
Working knowledge (written/oral) of both English and mathematics.
Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Good attention to detail, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Good team communicator.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Foot protection with Metguard, hand protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection, eye protection, coveralls.
