Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various concrete-related projects, including formwork, finishing, and restoration tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, experience in construction environments, and familiarity with a variety of tools and techniques used in concrete work. This position offers opportunities to develop skills in masonry, heavy equipment operation, and blueprint reading while contributing to high-quality construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, and placement to ensure structural integrity
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform concrete finishing tasks such as smoothing, troweling, and sealing surfaces
- Support masonry and restoration activities including caulking and flooring installation
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to execute project plans accurately
- Conduct demolition or renovation work as needed, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Handle heavy lifting and material transport around the job site
- Assist with welding, carpentry, or other related tasks to support overall project completion
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or concrete work preferred; familiarity with masonry, formwork, or restoration is a plus
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely
- Experience with rebar installation, concrete finishing, caulking, welding, or flooring installation is desirable
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
- Basic understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Pay: $18.97-$25.00 per hour
