Full job description
Dass Rebar in Vaughan is looking for hard-working individuals to join our growing team.
PURPOSE:
Bend, cut, bundle, and load rebar as per customer’s orders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Unload trailers and store material in an appropriate manner
Operate a rebar shear line to cut bar to specified lengths
Operate a rebar bending equipment to bend bars to specified shapes
Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
Operate overhead cranes to load and unload trucks
Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
Assist other employees in any of the above tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Safety Conscious
Must have basic math skills to be able to calculate bar measurements (Metric and Imperial)
Experience working in a rebar fabrication shop is preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Some heavy lifting may be necessary
Indoor Shop- working conditions can be noisy/ dusty/ hot/ cold
Fast paced environment
