Position Overview:
Tidal Seafood/Primal Custom Cutting, LLC is seeking a dependable and hardworking Porter to support daily operations at our fish processing and distribution facility. The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting with material handling, and supporting processing and warehouse teams to ensure a safe, sanitary, and efficient work environment. This position will report to the Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of processing areas, loading docks, storage rooms, and common areas
- Dispose of waste, ice, packaging materials, and byproducts according to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Wash down floors, equipment, bins, and workstations using approved cleaning chemicals and procedures
- Support processing and warehouse staff as needed during production and distribution activities
- Follow all food safety, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety protocols
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to supervisors
- Manual dexterity to operate warehouse tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Certification preferred but not required
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in a warehouse, food processing, or industrial cleaning environment is a plus
- Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday- Friday, 5:00am – 1:30pm
