About the opportunity:

The Manager of Quality will lead the quality assurance and regulatory compliance efforts at Olli Brands Inc. This role is responsible for developing and implementing quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and safety.

What you’ll be doing:

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable cannabis regulations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies; lead external audits and inspections.
  • Maintain all required licenses, SOPs, documentation, and regulatory filings
  • Monitor changes in regulatory landscapes and ensure the company’s proactive response.

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Develop and oversee quality management systems (QMS) aligned with GPP, GMP and EU GMP where applicable.
  • Implement and maintain SOPs, batch records, deviation reports, CAPAs, and change control processes.
  • Oversee product testing, release, and labeling processes to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Ensure effective environmental monitoring, sanitation programs, and pest control systems.
  •  Investigate client complaints, identify non-conformance issues, and perform root cause analysis

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, manage, and mentor the Quality and Regulatory team
  • Partner with Operation, R&D, and Supply Chain to integrate quality and regulatory compliance into every step of the product lifecycle.
  • Train cross-functional teams on compliance, safety, and quality-related protocols.

Risk Management

  • Lead internal audits and readiness assessments to identify gaps and manage corrective actions.
  • Manage product recalls, complaints, and non-conformances with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate vendor and supplier quality assurance programs

What you bring:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, or a related field is required. 

·      Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ, CQE, CQA) are preferred. 

·      Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position. 

·      Proven track record of managing quality management systems and ensuring regulatory compliance. 

·      Strong leadership and team management skills. 

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 

·      Proficient in quality management software and regulatory compliance tools. 

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

·      In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards

·      Strong time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
