We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Indian Restaurant Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring proper presentation and quality
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow all food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for guests
- Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Assist in plating dishes for service, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred; restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as needed
