This is a hands-on leadership position. We are not seeking entry-level applicants. Qualified candidates should have experience leading crews, operating equipment, and performing multiple residential construction trades.

First Response Restoration is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Construction Foreman to oversee residential construction, restoration, remodeling, and reconstruction projects.

This position is ideal for a highly skilled construction professional who can independently manage projects, lead crews, operate equipment, and perform skilled construction work alongside the team. We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes ownership of projects, and consistently produces high-quality work.

Previous business owners, self-employed contractors, and experienced foremen are strongly encouraged to apply.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise crews of 4–10 employees.
  • Coordinate daily jobsite activities.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Train and mentor crew members.
  • Maintain jobsite safety and organization.
  • Coordinate with homeowners, suppliers, inspectors, and management.
  • Perform quality control inspections throughout all phases of construction.

Construction ResponsibilitiesSitework & Equipment Operation

  • Operate excavators, skid steers, and related equipment.
  • Site grading and preparation.
  • Utility trenching and installation.
  • Drainage and erosion control.

Foundations & Concrete

  • Footer installation.
  • Foundation preparation and layout.
  • Form setting.
  • Concrete placement and finishing.
  • Foundation waterproofing and drainage.

Framing

  • Residential House Framing.
  • Roof framing.
  • Structural repairs.
  • Concrete Forming.

Utilities & Plumbing

  • Rough plumbing installation.
  • Water line installation.
  • Sewer line installation.
  • Drainage systems.

Exterior Construction

  • Roofing installation and repair.
  • Siding installation.
  • Window and door installation.
  • Flashing and weatherproofing systems.

Decks & Outdoor Structures

  • Deck construction.
  • Porch construction.
  • Railings and outdoor living structures.
  • Concrete finisshing.

Remodeling & Restoration

  • Structural repairs.
  • Insurance restoration projects.
  • Residential remodeling and reconstruction.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading crews of four or more employees.
  • Experience operating excavators, skid steers, and similar equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Must own professional-grade hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous construction business ownership.
  • Self-employed contractor experience.
  • Restoration or insurance repair experience.
  • CDL license.
  • Equipment hauling experience.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Estimating and material takeoff experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly lift 50+ pounds.
  • Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and elevated surfaces.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding construction tasks.

Compensation

Top candidates can earn up to $50 per hour plus a company truck, PTO, and tool allowance.

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
