Matrix is urgently hiring local labourers for a long term project in Halifax, NS. Overtime may be offered each week
Key Responsibilities
General cleaning of shops, facility, on projects and anywhere else needed
Help with setting up for specified work on a vessel or in the shop
Preparing and applying coating
Helping with care and preservation, performing fire watch and confined watch duties
Assisting in docking and undocking vessels
Surface preparation & Coating (i.e. Solvent Cleaning, Hand Tool Cleaning, Power Tool Cleaning, and Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal)
Assisting others wherever assistance is needed
Requirements:
You must be eligible to work in Canada to apply for this job
A pre-employment Government Security Clearance/background check will need to be completed
Full PPE+Fit Tested Respirator Mask
Qualifications:
Fall Protection
WHMIS
Forklift Ticket (asset but not required)
