Position Overview:
The Cleaner will be a second of two full-time cleaners supporting Company upkeep of its Sawmill, Planer and Garage spaces (non-production/industrial spaces). This position will also support cleaning of apartment units in the town of Nakina and temporary mobile accommodations, currently being set-up on Mill property. Periodic weekend shift coverage will be required in order to prepare accommodation units for occupancy/turnover.
Responsibilities:
· To reliably attend work for scheduled shifts.
· To work safely, in compliance with all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and procedures and relevant legislation.
· To actively participate in orientation and training provided by the company and to seek out clarification and/or additional training as required.
· To perform required tasks associated with the position assigned including, but not limited to:
· Cleaning and sanitizing of offices, lunch rooms, meeting rooms, washrooms
· Maintaining and replenishing products such as paper towels, toilet paper, tissue paper
· Cleaning and prepping apartments and temporary accommodation units for employee turnover, inclusive of laundering linens
· Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming
· Appliance cleaning
· Spot cleaning
· Engaging in weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cleaning activities (e.g., washing of walls, cleaning windows, etc.)
· To address concerns directly with the site supervisor, in a timely manner, and to support problem solving around the concern(s) brought forward.
