Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Fire Protection to oversee the successful delivery of multiple fire protection projects from award through completion. This role is hands-on and operations-driven, focused on procurement, material coordination, fabrication planning, inventory management, and day-to-day project support to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and on budget.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple active construction sites while working closely with site teams, suppliers, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Project Procurement & Material Management
- Complete detailed material take-offs for awarded projects
- Procure materials and issue purchase orders in accordance with project schedules
- Coordinate material deliveries to job sites and manage day-to-day material orders
- Work closely with site teams to ensure materials are available when required
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Manage warehouse inventory levels for pipe, fittings, valves, devices, and accessories
- Coordinate deliveries in and out of the warehouse to support active projects
- Maintain accurate inventory tracking and minimize material shortages or overstock
Project Coordination & Site Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related material and scope questions
- Support site supervisors and project managers with technical and logistical coordination
- Assist with resolving site issues related to materials, fabrication, or sequencing
Change Management & Documentation
- Manage project changes including RFIs, site instructions (SIs), and pricing requests
- Prepare and submit pricing for changes and additional scope
- Respond to inquiries from site supers and project managers to support construction progress
Fabrication Planning
- Create detailed fabrication listings for each project
- Coordinate pipe fabrication schedules with shop and site requirements
- Plan and schedule fabrication deliveries to align with installation sequencing
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in fire protection contracting (sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Proven experience with material take-offs, purchasing, and inventory management
- Familiarity with RFIs, SIs, and change management processes
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction software, Excel, and material tracking systems

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
