What to Expect
We are seeking an energetic, skilled, cost-conscious, team-oriented individual to be responsible for the performance of Inventory Control Associates on shift. The successful candidate will manage a team of Inventory Control Associates to ensure that they perform at a high level while meeting the needs of the production floor.
What You’ll Do
Build a strong, motivated team capable of consistently delivering high quality performance
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing and resolving issues
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the department and ensure that personnel issue materials correctly based on Pick List requirements to maintain a continuous flow of parts to assembly
Responsible for evaluating department staff and completing annual performance reviews, as well as, taking disciplinary measures as needed. Documents team member performance and attendance on a daily basis
Oversee receipt discrepancies regarding Inventory or kitted sub-assemblies and communicate issues to management that could result in process delays or safety issues
Assign Safety training for the direct reports in a timely manner. Monitor work area for potential hazards
Continuous improvement and support with cross training in ERP (M1) transactions, as well as working with finance, planning and accounting to disposition obsolete inventory and annual counts
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical discipline, 5 years work experience in relevant field, or equivalent; 5-10 years of supervisory experience is preferred
Analytical capabilities including data analysis to optimize inventory levels; advanced MS Excel skills required; experience with standard ERP software and MOS
Experience in selecting, supporting, and developing new team members
High level of communication and strong process-driven skills required
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with meticulous attention to detail while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput)
Ability to work flexible shifts, including splits and/or night shifts
