Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items, including ice cream, sundaes, and other menu offerings, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting guests with their orders and answering questions about menu items
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including kitchen stations and dining spaces, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately while upselling products to enhance guest experience and sales
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and monitoring product freshness
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS operations
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during shifts
- Kitchen experience or prior serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
