Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, and in accordance with quality standards and safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills to coordinate teams, subcontractors, effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor progress and quality of work to meet project specifications and standards.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to verify accuracy
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
- Lead safety meetings and enforce safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Provide supervision to on-site staff and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising medium to large-scale construction projects with a strong background in construction management.
- Demonstrated ability in blueprint reading.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a track record of leading teams effectively.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations within the construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with contractors, team members.
- Relevant certifications WHMIS, Working at Heights, propane handling
Pay: $73,182.87-$155,092.15 per year
