Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure the accuracy of accounting processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reports, maintaining accounting systems, and supporting budgeting and financial analysis activities. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency with various accounting software, and the ability to analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to maintain accurate financial records.
- Perform account reconciliation and account analysis to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with financial planning to optimize resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
- Support process improvements for accounting workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a business controlling capacity.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
