Job Overview:
Participate under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor in all aspects concerning the warehousing of commercial, landscape, and retail inventory in keeping with company policies.
Assist in the planning, organization, and cleaning practices of the sites overall operation. Ensure that merchandise is physically received from suppliers; unloaded, inventoried and paper work is processed in a timely fashion to appropriate departments.
Seasonally, merchandise may require relocating within the warehouse to facilitate access to high volume products. Responsible under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor for merchandise being shipped out, or picked up by customers from various departments.
Assists in ensuring all departments are adequately supplied with product requirements. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor as required or directed.
As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for various duties such as: shipping and receiving, quality control, materials handling, and loading customers.
Duties:
Accurate and safe handling of receiving and shipping of goods
Accurately completing paperwork associated with daily tasks
Assist with customer pickups and customer loading
Inventory control and site management
Daily retail store replenishment
Assisting in retail warehouse organization
Assist the teams in the set up and layout of space management within the warehouse, yards and sheds.
Assist in the maintenance of seasonal housekeeping of warehouse and surrounding area
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required daily in all-weather situations
Strong communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
Valid forklift certification is an asset
