We’re looking for an experienced Lead Hand to run our welding department — keeping the team, the quality, and the workflow moving so programs ship on time and to standard.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to lead a team of welders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Lead Welder, you will ensure that all welding projects are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the welding and finishing team.
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including MIG, Spot, Tig and laser welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Train and mentor welders on best practices and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety regulations.

- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Math skills for precise measurements and calculations.

Location: Scarborough, Ontario — in person
Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday
