5 years or more or equivalent experience Tasks Interpret welding process specifications Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Determine weldability of materials Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment Welding experience Welding techniques Laser Robotic equipment and systems TIG MIG Equipment and machinery experience Arc welding machine Brazing machine Butt or seam resistance welding machine Gas welding machine Soldering machine Spot welding machine Electrical wiring devices Laser levelling/aligning Transportation/travel information Own transportation Vehicle supplied by employer Willing to travel Willing to travel regularly Willing to travel for extended periods Valid driver’s licence Travel expenses paid by employer Work conditions and physical capabilities
