We are seeking a proactive and dependable Waste Management Worker to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Collect waste and recyclable materials from designated areas using appropriate tools and equipment
- Operate heavy machinery such as compactors, loaders, or trucks safely and effectively
- Sort waste materials to ensure proper recycling and disposal procedures are followed
- Adhere strictly to safety standards in production, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Conduct routine inspections of waste collection areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs
- Follow established protocols for handling hazardous or special waste types in compliance with environmental regulations
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of work sites by removing debris and ensuring proper storage of waste containers
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred to operate and troubleshoot waste management equipment
- Prior experience in manufacturing or waste management environments is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production settings, including the use of PPE
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is a plus for compliance awareness
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
