Overview:
Western Varieties Wholesale is a locally owned and operated business, looking to add a receiver/shipper to our friendly warehouse team.
The receiver/shipper is responsible for maintaining the shipping/receiving log, packaging and shipping outgoing orders, as well as receiving and checking in deliveries. This position reports directly to the warehouse team lead. This position will be primarily Monday to Friday with Saturdays and/or evenings required during our busy seasons.
Key Duties:
Receives all goods according to standard written procedures, recording all incoming shipments, checking shipments against purchase orders, and verifying contents of shipments against packing slips.
Operates a pallet jack and pallet stacker to load/unload trucks and move stock within the warehouse.
Able to operate standard warehouse machinery including pallet jack and pallet stacker.
Manually unloads multiple cartons and places cartons on pallets as requested. Cartons weigh up to 50lbs each.
Utilizes courier companies for shipping and receiving orders.
Confirms all items in an outgoing order are accounted for and packages them appropriately to prevent damage or breakage.
Prepare freight and proper paperwork for domestic and cross-border shipments.
Maintains good housekeeping and orderliness in the warehouse, including general janitorial duties.
Assists with receiving and sorting products upon arrival.
Assists in the other areas of the warehouse according to the workload requirements.
Required Skills:
Basic computer skills including MS Office, Google Workspace and database management.
Good problem solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
Must be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and thrive on working in teams.
Abe to work quickly and efficiently to complete responsibilities.
Must be able to consistently meet production requirements.
Must possess strong attention to detail and be able to follow instructions accurately.
Able to complete physically demanding tasks.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse setting.
Wage will be based off of experience.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
