JD Sports Canada is looking to add a full-time Warehouse Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the Western Distribution Centre. You will be a player-coach, actively working in the warehouse providing product for customers of JD Sports, size? and Livestock, while coaching and leading the team.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will implement a warehousing and distribution strategy to ensure our customers receive the highest possible service and improve our competitive advantage.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the performance of our warehouses with the distribution of retail and eCommerce merchandise to all warehouses, retail stores, and customers.
Implement and develop a distribution strategy to ensure that our warehouses are optimized to run smoothly and efficiently regardless of season, releases, or sales volumes.
Leading and managing the Warehouse team leads to ensure all functions are working collaboratively.
Implement and develop a safety program to meet regulatory requirements to achieve “best in class” safety record.
Identify opportunities to improve warehouse systems and processes, and cost efficiencies.
Develop, track, and report on all Warehouse KPI and financial data.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
Minimum of 5 years of management experience in multi-channel distribution.
Ability to see the big picture and complexity of how to organize for multiple brands and different channels.
Ability to build reports for stakeholders across the business that show the improvement to productivity inside the warehouse.
Strong leadership ability that will build up, motivate and inspire our teams.
Strong communication ability of targets, resource requirements and consequences under different scenarios
Strong cross-group collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Strong disciplined approach to process and project management.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and foster a high-performance team.
