Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tiles in residential and commercial settings. This is a skilled position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Duties:
– Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
– Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and create desired patterns
– Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
– Mix and apply mortar or adhesive to secure tiles in place
– Set tiles in position and align them properly
– Level and straighten tiles using tools such as levels, squares, and straightedges
– Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout
– Install tile trim and edge pieces as needed
– Clean and polish installed tiles
– Repair or replace damaged tiles
Experience:
– Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role
– Strong knowledge of tile laying techniques and materials
– Proficient in using hand tools such as tile cutters, trowels, and levels
– Familiarity with different types of tiles, adhesives, grouts, and sealants
– Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications
– Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing
– Experience in general carpentry or maintenance person work is a plus

Pay: $17.00-$23.00 per hour
