Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Vacation Rental Maintenance Technician to ensure our properties are in top condition, providing guests with a seamless and enjoyable experience. In this energetic role, you will perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance across multiple vacation rental units. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of safety, comfort, and functionality, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and property value. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs in vacation rental units, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general handyman tasks
- Complete work orders in a timely manner using company systems and communicate updates clearly with the team
- Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and ensure units meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve guest-reported issues quickly to minimize disruption to their stay
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to reduce long-term repair costs
- Replace and install appliances, fixtures, and basic furnishings as needed
- Ensure all units are clean, functional, and guest-ready prior to check-in
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours when scheduled
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; notify management when restocking is needed
- Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and management teams to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies while on property
Experience
- Prior experience in maintenance, property management, hospitality, or a related field preferred
- Working knowledge of general repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
- Experience in vacation rentals, hotels, or multi-unit properties is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and guest satisfaction
- Comfortable using mobile apps or property management systems to track work orders
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to respond to urgent maintenance needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with guests, owners, and team members
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
