Founded in 2005, TSH Tree Service is the premier residential tree care company in Breckenridge, Colorado. We proudly serve the Summit County community by providing high-quality valuable tree care, including hazard fuels reduction, plant healthcare, and smaller forestry and silviculture projects.
TSH Tree Service is hiring a Tree Care Trainee / Laborer to be a member of our tree removal team.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $17-$22 per hour based on qualifications, certifications, experience, and productivity
- Full-time (May through October)

Shared expectations of TSH team members
TSH Tree Service team members work to communicate with all other team members in order to uphold the TSH Mission. All team members are expected to:
- Come to work with a positive, solution-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and to share experience as part of the entire TSH team
- Display a high level of professionalism and respect, both inter-company as well as with clients and partners
- Uphold and support all of TSH Safety Program and Procedures
- Respond to emails and all forms of TSH communications in a timely manner
Roles and expectations:
- Assist with moving logs and material to appropriate locations (piles, landings, trucks, skid, chipper, trailers)
- Support jobsite final cleanup
- Appropriately prune and trim with hand saws, pole saws, and loppers
- Support removal team including sawyers, climbers, groundsman, and skid-machine operators
- Assist with daily equipment tool care, maintenance, and organization
- Contribute to the safety and well-being of the TSH team
- Make a positive impact on our local clients’ landscape, property, and forest
- Have a positive, solution-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn, share, and grow with the company
- Work together to uphold our TSH Mission
- This position can be a path to Apprentice positions: chainsaw operator, groundsman, and including tree truck driver and Plant Healthcare Technician
Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Valid US Driver’s License
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of (2) years manual labor experience
- Ability to carry up to 50lbs
- Ability and fitness to work in rugged terrain at altitude in the mountains
- Reside in or near Summit County, Colorado
- An interest in professional skill development and advancement
Highly Valued Experience and Certifications:
- Landscaping/ lawn care experience
- Academic and social organization awards
- General mechanical tool and equipment repair and maintenance skills
- Class A CDL (increased pay rate option)
