Position Title:TRAINER

Position Type:Full time / Salaried

Department:Security & Quality Assurance

Supervisor:Head of Security & Quality AssuranceOF THE ROLE

TheTRAINERwill report to the Head of Security & Quality Assurance and liaise/collaborate with various facets of the business (Service Delivery & Support, Human Resources, Recruiting) to develop and execute training courses for our Commissionaires across New Brunswick & PEI.

CCOUNTABILITIES

As directed by the Head of Security & Quality Assurance, the TRAINER works with Recruiting and Regional Managers to plan and execute CNBPEI new hire, recurrent and leadership training, and related activities. Additionally, the TRAINER works with Recruiting, Service Delivery and QA to develop a calendar of training events to occur across the company.

The TRAINER is a divisional subject matter expert on all topics relating to physical security. Specifically, they will be responsible for new hire learning and engagement.

Core Duties:

Assess the training needs of the company

Create in-person training programs

Prepare learning materials

Conduct training sessions

Evaluate trainee performance while in training

Develop reports to highlight successes and challenges within the training environment

Seek feedback from participants and employees to shape/continuously improve training products

Ensuring employees achieve recertification and upskilling

Successfully conduct Supervisor development training and other courses as required

Other duties relating to Quality Assurance processes as assigned by the Head of Security & Quality Assurance

Education and Professional Requirements:

A degree in HR, education or training or prior experience as a trainer or a similar position is preferred; however, internal candidates will be considered based on a combination of policing, military background plus aptitude, skill, and experience.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is a must.

A keen interest of security and security related matters.

Ability to identify gaps in skills.

Knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches will be considered an asset.

Excellent organizational skills are a must.

Bilingual (ability to speak and write in English and French) is preferred.

Knowledge Requirements:

Prior experience in policing or military service will be considered an asset.

Successful candidates will be required to acquire certifications in various security-related courses (company funded)

Salaried position

Work hours will require flexibility based on training calendars however typical work hours would occur during regular hours of operation for the Corps

Travel required – minimum 50% across New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island
