Role Description
Netifi Communications is hiring a full-time Telecommunications Technician for an on-site role in Vancouver, BC.
The technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems, including internet, TV, and phone services. This role involves troubleshooting service issues, completing installations, and ensuring all systems are functioning according to company and client standards.
The position requires working at customer locations and maintaining accurate service records.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and activate internet, television, and phone services at customer premises
- Diagnose and resolve service and connectivity issues
- Perform cabling (fiber/coaxial) installations and repairs
- Maintain accurate documentation of work orders and inventory
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
- Provide professional customer service during all interactions
Qualifications
- Experience in telecommunications installation or technical field work
- Knowledge of cabling, telephony, and internet systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workload
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
Preferred:
- Previous field technician or ISP experience
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (routers, modems, Wi-Fi)
- Post-secondary education in a related field
