Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Splicer to join our team. As a Splicer, you will be responsible for performing splicing and maintenance activities on various types of telecommunications cables. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.
Responsibilities:
– Perform splicing and termination of copper cables in both aerial and underground applications.
– Conduct testing and troubleshooting of copper networks to ensure proper functionality
– Install, maintain, and repair network infrastructure equipment
– Operate bucket trucks, forklifts, and other equipment as needed for cable installation
– Utilize electrical and low voltage skills to complete splicing tasks
– Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
– Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Experience:
– Previous experience as a Splicer or similar role in the telecommunications industry
– Proficient in splicing techniques for both single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables
– Knowledge of telecommunications network infrastructure, including WAN technologies
– Familiarity with electrical principles and low voltage systems
– Ability to operate bucket trucks and forklifts safely and efficiently
– Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues with fiber optic networks

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
