About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Support Representative to join our team in Hartland, NB. This is a full-time position with on-the-job training provided, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the heavy equipment industry.

In this role, you will support customers and internal teams by troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with custom product solutions, and contributing to warranty and parts processes. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Warranty teams.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Friday: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Craig heavy equipment attachments
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues
  • Assist customers with issue resolution and product guidance
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and product specifications (or learn to)
  • Support Inside Sales with custom quoting and product configuration
  • Assist with warranty reviews, including initial issue assessment and documentation
  • Maintain and update the online parts portal database
  • Document support cases and identify recurring issues to support continuous improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer concerns

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Strong interest in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and heavy equipment
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics, mechanical components, or electrical systems (training provided)
  • Ability to read technical drawings or willingness to learn
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a technical role

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to heavy equipment or industrial machinery
  • Co-op, internship, or hands-on mechanical experience
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, or technical environments

What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)

  • Build a strong understanding of Craig products and systems
  • Independently handle basic technical support inquiries
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot common hydraulic and mechanical issues
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams
  • Accurately support quoting and product configuration tasks
  • Contribute to warranty reviews with well-documented assessments
  • Maintain accurate documentation and system updates
  • Prioritize high-impact and time-sensitive issues effectively
  • Build strong working relationships across teams
