The Supply Chain team at Ontario Health is responsible for sourcing goods and services that provide value-for-money, meet business requirements, and comply with the Ontario Health Procurement Policy and other related policies. Supply Chain team members work directly with internal stakeholder to define sourcing needs, develop required documents, and perform vendor and contract management activities.
2 Summer Student roles available.
Here is what you will be doing:
The Supply Chain summer student will support the Supply Chain activities, including:
Support Sourcing Specialists in developing sourcing documents and executing sourcing initiatives
Work with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing documents are submitted and routed via the procurement electronic systems in compliance with procurement policies, processes and requirements
Participate and coordinate analysis of supplier bids and related data
Liaise with internal stakeholders as required
Prepare documentation as required for appropriate approvals
Maintain and archive required documents and ensure a complete audit trail for all procurement through the procurement lifecycle.
Participate in activities that contribute to the continuous improvement of the procurement function at Ontario Health.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Information Technology, Law, or a related discipline
Knowledge and Skills
Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Powerpoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, accountability and ability to multi-task
Proactive and assertive; self-starter; able to take initiative as required
Customer oriented focus
Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience in eSourcing would be an asset
Employment Type: 2x Fixed Term Contract for 4 months (May -August)
Salary Band: March 13, 2024
Location: Ontario (currently hybrid; subject to change)
