Job Summary
Meta Fab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Silk Screen Printer to join our vibrant manufacturing team.
Plan, layout work, silk-screen metal parts using provided equipment, and operate pad printer to meet customer requirements by following blueprint specifications. Perform basic silk-screen, laser etching and pad printing set-ups as required or directed. Duties
- Set up and operate silk screen printing presses, ensuring proper registration, ink consistency, and color accuracy.
- Prepare screens by cleaning, coating, and aligning them according to design specifications.
- Manage color management processes to achieve accurate color reproduction across multiple prints.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the printing process, adjusting equipment as needed for optimal results.
- Adjust machinery settings for manufacturing efficiency while maintaining high standards of print quality.
- Implement safety protocols during operation of industrial equipment.
- Set-up and pad print metal, plastic and composite parts.
- Follow detailed work instructions, and create them when needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend job travelers and customer drawings.
- Maintain screen inventory for production use.
- Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
Job Conditions / Physical Requirements
Work performed in an industrial, factory setting. Exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes. Regularly required to stand, bend, reach and move about facilities. Ability to stand on their feet for 9+ hours each day and must be able to lift 35 lbs. frequently.
Education and Qualifications
High School or equivalent education. 2 years minimum experience in silk-screening using cliches. Experience using emulsion to coat silk screens and burning screens is a plus. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
Pay: $21.00 – $26.00 per hour
