High volume motorcycle accessory manufacturer is looking for a Shipping Assistant to join our team.
New Rage Cycles manufactures aftermarket motorcycle accessories in our Mahopac, NY facility. Our operations include designing, manufacturing, assembling, and shipping worldwide.
Shipping Operations:
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Inspect and verify all shipments for accuracy, quantity, and quality.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and export/import documentation as needed.
- Verify shipping costs and ensure proper billing for transportation services.
- Record inventory and notify relevant departments
- Support warehouse organization by keeping shipping and receiving areas clean and efficient.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all shipments comply with hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks or other material-handling as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year in shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse administration, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with shipping software (UPS, FedEx, freight carrier portals).
- Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong ability to process multiple shipments, maintain records, and prevent errors.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve shipping issues, delays, and discrepancies.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
