Full job description
AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring Forklift/Shipping and Receiving Operatives for a variety of upcoming temporary assignments in Southwestern Ontario.
These positions are temporary assignments to help fill staffing shortages.
You will earn:
$22.50-$30 per hour (depending on assignment)
Hotel accommodations provided (when required)
$30 per diem (when lodging required)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspection and unloading/loading of received goods
Use RF Scanner to prepare customer orders/incoming shipments
Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks
Prepare material movement lists for warehouse operators
Checks bill of lading, packing slips etc. for accuracy
Product inspection
Performs basic housekeeping duties
Building and breakdown of pallets
Perform daily material handling equipment checks
Skills & Qualifications:
Experienced and licensed forklift operator
RF Scanner Experience
Ability to follow set procedures
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Must be physically fit with the ability to regularly lift between 30 – 50 lbs
Basic Computer skills
Able to complete regular workplace and equipment inspections to ensure proper operation
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
Strong English verbal and written communication skill
High School graduate or GED equivalency.
Minimum 1 year warehouse experience.
