3 Peaks Rentals is seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to oversee maintenance and property operations across a growing portfolio of 165+ vacation rentals and hotel property in beautiful Sun Peaks, BC.
This is not a typical maintenance role.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, leadership, efficiency, and building strong systems — someone equally comfortable leading a team, managing projects, operating equipment, and stepping in to solve problems when needed.

3 Peaks Rentals is a full-service vacation rental and property management company based in Sun Peaks, BC. We manage luxury vacation homes ranging from cozy ski-in/ski-out condos to high-end mountain chalets, delivering exceptional experiences for both homeowners and guests year-round.

Position Overview
As the Senior Property Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will lead all day-to-day maintenance operations across our portfolio while helping scale and improve systems, processes, and team performance.

You will work alongside a team responsible for maintaining 165+ vacation rentals and hotel properties, ensuring properties remain safe, functional, beautiful, and guest-ready year-round.
ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operations
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing maintenance team
- Manage scheduling, task delegation, and timesheet approvals
- Establish workflows, accountability, and performance standards
- Lead by example through hands-on support and mentorship
- Foster a strong team culture focused on quality and efficiency
Property Maintenance & Repairs
- Oversee maintenance across all managed properties
- Perform and coordinate carpentry, repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general property issues
- Conduct inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests efficiently and professionally
Snow Removal, Landscaping & Equipment
- Oversee snow removal and exterior property upkeep operations
- Operate and/or supervise machinery including skid steers and loaders
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of tools and equipment
Systems & Projects
- Utilize maintenance software and operational systems effectively
- Improve workflows and operational efficiency
- Monitor inventory, supplies, and department expenses
- Scope and oversee renovations and property improvement projects
- Coordinate with contractors and internal teams
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in maintenance, construction, property management, or related trades
- Red Seal Carpenter certification preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong hands-on experience in general maintenance and renovations
- Experience operating skid steers, loaders, or similar machinery preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems
- Familiarity with BC building codes and safety standards
- Comfortable using maintenance and operations software
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
