3 Peaks Rentals is seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to oversee maintenance and property operations across a growing portfolio of 165+ vacation rentals and hotel property in beautiful Sun Peaks, BC.

This is not a typical maintenance role.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, leadership, efficiency, and building strong systems — someone equally comfortable leading a team, managing projects, operating equipment, and stepping in to solve problems when needed.

Position Overview

As the Senior Property Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will lead all day-to-day maintenance operations across our portfolio while helping scale and improve systems, processes, and team performance.

You will work alongside a team responsible for maintaining 165+ vacation rentals and hotel properties, ensuring properties remain safe, functional, beautiful, and guest-ready year-round.

ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Operations

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing maintenance team
  • Manage scheduling, task delegation, and timesheet approvals
  • Establish workflows, accountability, and performance standards
  • Lead by example through hands-on support and mentorship
  • Foster a strong team culture focused on quality and efficiency

Property Maintenance & Repairs

  • Oversee maintenance across all managed properties
  • Perform and coordinate carpentry, repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general property issues
  • Conduct inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests efficiently and professionally

Snow Removal, Landscaping & Equipment

  • Oversee snow removal and exterior property upkeep operations
  • Operate and/or supervise machinery including skid steers and loaders
  • Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of tools and equipment

Systems & Projects

  • Utilize maintenance software and operational systems effectively
  • Improve workflows and operational efficiency
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and department expenses
  • Scope and oversee renovations and property improvement projects
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal teams

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of leadership experience in maintenance, construction, property management, or related trades
  • Red Seal Carpenter certification preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong hands-on experience in general maintenance and renovations
  • Experience operating skid steers, loaders, or similar machinery preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems
  • Familiarity with BC building codes and safety standards
  • Comfortable using maintenance and operations software
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs
