TheSenior Analyst / Analyst, Private Equityis integral to the success of theInvestmentsteam, and to CAAT’s guiding mission and growth strategy.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Private Equity, the Senior Analyst / Analyst will be actively involved in all aspects of the investment process. The role supports the implementation of CAAT’s overall investment strategy by conducting due diligence on new investments, executing new investments, and monitoring CAAT’s existing private equity portfolio.
We are looking for someone with:
Undergraduate Degree from an accredited institution
1 to 5 years’ experience in institutional investing, private markets/private equity investing, investment banking, or transaction advisory
Possessing or pursuing an MBA, MFin, CFA, CPA, CBV, CAIA, or any other relevant professional designation, would be an asset
Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills and an ability to perform cash flow, valuation and capital structure analysis
Knowledge of private equity investing, due diligence processes, portfolio management and capital markets
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Ability to work collaboratively in a small, informal team setting or independently with solid prioritization and organizational skills
Keen on suggesting improvements and contributing new ideas
Strong work ethic, honesty, and integrity
Once here you will:
Investment Process
Support the screening, evaluation, and execution of prospective investment opportunities under the direction of senior team members. Contribute to progressing due diligence workstreams (e.g., financial, legal, tax, etc.) and assist in managing third parties (e.g., advisors, lawyers, etc.)
Work with Associates and senior team members in performing track record analyses on general partners, sensitivity analyses, and investment case analyses on prospective investments
