Job Title: Personal Assistant
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Personal Assistant who possesses exceptional organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a strong desire to immerse themselves in the window and door business. This individual will work closely with the owner to manage day-to-day operations, handle various tasks, and take proactive steps to streamline processes and alleviate time-consuming responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Support: Efficiently manage the owner’s schedule, coordinate meetings, handle correspondence, and maintain office organization to ensure smooth operations.
2. Errand Management: Take charge of running errands around town, including but not limited to, purchasing supplies, delivering documents, and assisting with sales-related tasks and other errands
3. Sales Assistance: Collaborate with the sales team to support sales initiatives, engage with clients, and contribute to the growth of the business.
4. Email and Communication Management: Maintain and organize the owner’s email inbox, prioritize messages, and ensure timely responses to inquiries.
5. Bookkeeping: Handle basic bookkeeping tasks, such as managing invoices, expense tracking, and maintaining financial records with accuracy and attention to detail.
6. AutoCAD Drafting: Learn and master AutoCAD drafting software to assist with design projects and contribute to the development of architectural plans.
7. Learning and Development: Display a strong eagerness to learn about the window and door industry, stay updated on industry trends, and actively seek opportunities for professional growth.
8. Positive Attitude and Leadership: Approach tasks with enthusiasm, positivity, and a can-do attitude while demonstrating leadership skills when necessary. Act as a liaison between the owner, team members, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
– Previous experience in a similar administrative or personal assistant role is preferred.
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
– Proficiency in basic bookkeeping principles and experience with accounting software is a plus.
– Familiarity with AutoCAD or willingness to learn is highly desirable.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour.
– High level of adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges.
– Charismatic personality with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
– Valid driver’s license
– Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
