Sandblaster Job Summary
Jensen Lee is looking for an experienced Sandblaster or Blasting Operator to join our work team. While you do not need to be an experienced sandblaster to apply, we do expect applicants to have some experience with the heavy equipment, grinding tools, and power tools that you use during this process. In addition to operating the blast booth and unloading the sandblasting booth, you may also be asked to help with prepping or coating tasks after you have successfully removed the unwanted substances from the surface. Along with any other shop tasks that may need to be completed, and provide support to the install team if needed.
Sandblaster Duties and Responsibilities
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
- Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
- Load and unload the blast cabinet
- Assist with painting or coating as needed
- Apply and remove non-skid materials as needed
- Keep area clean
Sandblaster Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience working with or removing heavy metals is a plus
- Organized and efficient with time
- Physical stamina (Standing for up to 8 hours, ability to lift 50lbs)
- Familiarity with power tools
