About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Sales Manager to lead, coach, and scale our Business Development Representative (BDR) team. This role is responsible for building structure, driving performance, and creating a high-accountability, high-performance culture.

You will lead coaching, optimize outbound strategy, and leverage CRM tools (HubSpot) to improve results. This role works closely with Sales, Service, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of BDRs through weekly 1:1s, team training sessions, and monthly development check-ins
  • Design and optimize outbound campaigns across LinkedIn, email, and CRM-driven outreach
  • Own HubSpot: build dashboards, automate workflows, manage sequences, and keep pipeline data clean
  • Set and track weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs — and hold the team accountable to them
  • Build and maintain the BDR Playbook: scripts, email templates, and objection-handling frameworks
  • Support hiring and onboarding as the team scales
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Operations on lead quality, handoffs, and campaign alignment

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience managing or leading a BDR or outbound sales team
  • Strong HubSpot CRM skills (workflows, sequences, reporting, automation)
  • Data-driven approach — you track metrics, spot trends, and act on them
  • A natural coach who builds people up while holding the bar high
  • Experience building scalable processes and playbooks from the ground up
  • Proactive, accountable, and comfortable in a fully in-person environment

What Success Looks Like

  • A structured, high-performing BDR team hitting and exceeding outbound KPIs
  • A clean, optimized HubSpot setup with clear reporting visibility
  • New hires onboarded quickly and ramping effectively
  • Campaigns and messaging continuously improving based on data

Qualifications

  • 3+ years managing or leading a BDR or sales team
  • Background in insurance, group benefits, SaaS, or financial services is a strong asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
