Client is a Canadian company that offers custom metal products for railings, balconies, decks, extrusions and special fabrications.
Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Sales Executive will be responsible for contracts across Canada, with a focus on Western Canada, and potential to expand into the US. The successful candidate will predominantly be working on generating sales leads, developing relationships with key stakeholders, as well as bidding on projects. The role involves working with clients conceptualizing, planning, and preparing estimations and creative design proposals for presentation.
In addition, you will work with the executive team in finding new opportunities that align with the corporate strategy, identify sales leads, and maintain relationships with current and new contacts. This role will provide you with support to obtain new leads and drive new sales
RESPONSIBLITIES:
Prepare pricing estimates for projects and submit written proposals to clients
Attend industry shows, conferences, events etc.
Participates in various departmental and interdepartmental meeting or training as required
Pre-qualify potential clients with appropriate questions to establish budget, timelines, and compatibility, prepare quotations and site installation meetings as required
Manage clients’ expectations by informing them of company processes, policies, and timelines
Update clients of business changes such as product offering, pricing, or assembly options
Strong business and sales acumen; including strong business communication skills, both written and oral
High-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated individual
Excellent problem-solving skills
Reliability, integrity, passion and in-person presentation skills
Strong ability to establish relationships and maintain relationships
Ability to identify best product and fit for client needs
Excellent planning, coordination, and scheduling skills
Ability to collaborate efforts with Estimating, Engineering, and Sales department
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have 5+ years of experience in the construction/building materials industry, preferably with within aluminum railings & extrusions sectors
Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Reliability, integrity, passion and in-person presentation skills with a strong ability to establish relationships and close deals
Exceptional, industry leading, customer service skills with a proven strength in exceeding client expectations and an ability to identify best product and fit for client needs
Excellent planning, coordination, and scheduling skills
High-energy, detail-oriented, results-driven, self-motivated individual
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
