Safety Consultant

About the Role
SafetyPro Resources is seeking an experienced Safety Consultant to join our team in the greater Baton Rouge, LA area. This is a permanent, full-time hybrid position with flexibility for remote work. As a Safety Consultant, you’ll partner directly with clients to build, manage, and strengthen their occupational health and safety programs across a range of industries.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients on day-to-day safety matters
- Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections
- Develop and deliver occupational health and safety training
- Write and refine safety policies and procedures
- Manage online qualification programs (ISNetworld, Avetta, and similar platforms)
- Oversee customer projects from start to finish
- Investigate incidents and support claims management
- Guide clients through regulatory compliance inspections (OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA, and others)
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related field (preferred)
- Relevant certifications such as CHST, CSST, or COSS (recommended); GSP, ASP, or CSP (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction or general industry
- Experience in commercial building construction — general and/or trade contracting (preferred)
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and 1910 regulations
- Proven experience developing and presenting safety training
- Experience with ISNetworld, Avetta, and other qualification programs (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Pay: $60,767.46 – $73,182.32 per year
