Safety Advisor Jobs in Stratford at CRM Ready Mix
CRM Ready-Mix Ltd. is seeking a Safety Advisor/Safety Officer to assist in maintaining a safe work environment and maintaining compliance at their Ready-Mix Concrete plants in Stratford and Summerside, Prince Edward Island. This position will be based in Stratford, PEI and require travel between Summerside and other work sites as necessary. This candidate will be required to assist in other office administrative tasks as necessary.
This person should be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, is self motivated, and is comfortable and skilled in a computerized work environment. Candidates must maintain a valid driver’s licence and provide both an acceptable police record check and a drivers abstract prior to hiring.
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant certificate or diploma in Health and Safety Management or equivalent. Previous work experience in a safety related field would be an asset.
The successful applicant will be required to oversee all facets of the safety program for CRM Ready-Mix Ltd. and the such as monitoring requirements for compliance reporting, assisting managers to ensure driver logbooks and pre-trip inspections are complete and in compliance, assisting in implementing existing safe work procedures and development of new procedures as needed, facilitating toolbox talks with employees, and assisting employees in workplace inspections. Individuals will be responsible for maintaining a friendly and positive attitude while interacting with both employees and customers and would be required to perform other administrative duties to assist in the office as required.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Position is eligible for benefits package.
