Position Summary
The Water Mitigation Field Technician performs water damage restoration services in residential and commercial properties. This role supports the Crew Chief and Project Manager in executing mitigation projects, including water extraction, structural drying, and demolition, while maintaining safety, quality, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mitigation Services
- Perform water extraction, drying, and basic demolition
- Set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
- Assist with moisture inspections and take moisture readings
- Follow established drying plans and mitigation procedures
Job Site Support
- Assist Crew Chief with daily job tasks and project execution
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Protect customer property (cover floors, move contents, install containment as needed)
- Load and unload equipment and materials
Documentation
- Take job site photos and assist with documentation
- Record moisture readings and equipment placement
- Follow company processes for tracking work completed
Customer Interaction
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude with customers
- Answer basic questions and refer complex issues to Crew Chief or Project Manager
- Represent the company positively at all times
Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies
- Wear proper PPE (gloves, respirators, etc.)
- Comply with Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification standards (S500 guidelines)
- Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends (on-call rotation)
- Ability to perform physical labor in various environments
Preferred
- Experience in water mitigation, construction, or restoration
- IICRC WRT certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience using basic hand tools and equipment

Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry 50–75 lbs regularly
