Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Busser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming environment and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Your exceptional customer service skills will help set the tone for our restaurant, making every guest feel valued and appreciated.
THIS JOB IS 2-3 SHIFTS PER WEEK. EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS ONLY.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Utilize phone etiquette when answering calls for reservations or inquiries.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented atmosphere are essential.
