Job Description

• Work with Work Package Managers, Division Managers, and Team Leads to assign appropriate work centre(s) and develop work forecasts for each project activity for active capital projects including Regulatory (Asbestos, PCB, NERC, etc), Project Delivery (PD) and Programs and Contract Management (PCM) projects.

• Coordinate resource forecasts for interrelated work packages with all corresponding Team Leads.

• Monitor resource demands throughout the progression of projects and highlights areas with significant deviation and / or resource constraints. Discuss areas of concern with the Work Package Manager, Division Manager and / or Team Lead to adjust forecasts and address resourcing gaps.

• Review historic demand trends for similar projects and develop metrics to help improve the accuracy of resource forecasting for Engineering and Project Delivery’s key business units.

• Compile resource demands for all capital projects for each resource type and develop short-term and long-term resource demand forecasts. Review forecasts against resource capacities and provide an assessment of demand vs. supply issues to Capital Project Managers, Division Managers and Team Leads.

• Provides resourcing information in response to ad hoc requests for information from the project team and resource managers. Files and retrieves documents in accordance with PPM practices for project

document management

.

• Perform a variety of resourcing functions for capital projects, such as: preparing materials to communicate variances to the Work Package Mangers and / or Team Leads; collecting relevant information to assist in the revision of work package documents; researching Work Package / Network Activity / Network Activity Element variance explanations with Work Package Managers; and performing a variety of related resourcing calculations and activities.

• Perform a variety of support duties, such as: preparing correspondence, updating project records and files; assembling a variety of project-related documentation; undertaking specialized studies by gathering relevant information; and preparing related graphs and tabulations. May provide information to assist the Work Package Manager in preparing chance notice or to assist in preparation of Work Package Agreement.

• The goal of this role is to:o Reduce disruptions / delays to active projects caused by resource constraints by ensuring accurate work forecasts are developed and maintained throughout the progression of the project.o Identify and communicate any forecasted resource constraints to the Directors and Division Managers to act on.o Provide a centralized view of projects that might be impacted by resource constraints.

Experience and Role Account abilities
