Residential Service Electrician / Service Technician
This position is ideal for an electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction, and independently managing service calls from start to finish. We are looking for a technician who can diagnose problems, present solutions to homeowners, perform quality installations, and represent our company professionally in the field.
This is not a new construction rough-wiring position. Our technicians work directly with homeowners and are expected to be capable of troubleshooting, communicating clearly, and completing work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues
- Perform service calls independently
- Install and replace switches, receptacles, lighting, ceiling fans, and electrical equipment
- Install EV chargers, generators, surge protection, and subpanels
- Perform panel upgrades and service replacements
- Present repair and upgrade options to homeowners
- Create and maintain customer confidence through professionalism and technical knowledge
- Document work performed using company software
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle
- Follow company safety procedures and electrical codes
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Ability to use smartphones and mobile applications in the field
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors as required
- Clean Drivers License
- Journeyman License
- Drug Free
- OSHA 10 Certification
