Major Responsibilities:

Assists with assembling and compiling information/survey packages.

Collects data by distributing questionnaires, visiting sites, going door to door, asking participants/groups for information/opinions etc.

Travels to various locations and/or attends special events to provide support/on-site assistance and distribute information.

Assists with packing, loading, lifting, moving, delivering and unpacking supplies, displays etc.

Documents findings. Inputs/retrieves/updates/maintains data.

Assists with organizing and presenting data collected.

Assists with compiling and consolidation of data for others to analyze/process.

Assists others with drafting documents, bulletins etc. and data analysis.

Assists in maintaining data/statistics.

Assists with various office functions.

Answers calls, provides general information, takes messages and directs inquiries to appropriate staff to answer questions/handle requests

Key Qualifications:

Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:

Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program in data management, information studies, museum management or arts administration and/or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).

Experience conducting research and analysis.

You must also have:

Previous experience working in a gallery or museum environment would be an asset.

Knowledge of data systems or databases would be an asset.

Strong problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work in a demanding environment with many competing priorities and deadlines.

Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as cooperatively as a member.
