Position: Colorist (Research and Development)
- Temp to Perm
- Location: Dracut, MA
- Full-Time
- 1st Shift 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Pay Range: $27 – $28/hr DOE
- Drug and Background Screen required
We are looking for a Detail-Oriented Colorist to join our Color Styling Lab team. In this hands-on role, you will help create and match colors for custom synthetic leather products using solvent-borne pigments and binders.
We welcome both experienced professionals and motivated candidates eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Match customer and standard color samples
- Develop and adjust color formulas
- Conduct lab testing and trial mixes
- Inspect production samples for quality and accuracy
- Maintain formulation records and documentation
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and color accuracy
- Good math and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a laboratory environment
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work with solvent-borne materials
- Experience in paint, ink, textiles, or plastics is a plus
Preferred: Experience with spectrophotometers such as X-Rite, Konica Minolta, or BYK Gardner is helpful but not required.
