What does your day at GIP look like?

The

Quality Control

Field Technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of

quality control

under the supervision of project managers, supervisors or scheduling coordinators.

Inspect the quality of construction and construction materials (aggregates and asphalt).Monitor material placement and workmanship.

Review documents and specifications.

Maintain daily check list diary and site activities.

Report any non-conformance concerns while on site to management.

Execute tests in the field or laboratory on construction materials to assess their quality.

Prepare and collect Aggregates and asphalt samples for laboratory testing.

Perform compaction testing by Nuclear Densometer.

Asphalt coring

Ensure accuracy of test data.

Perform visual inspections of roadways

Maintain equipment

Maintain calibration of equipment

Enough about us, let’s talk about you3-5 years of HMA and granular testing required.

Civil Engineering Technology / Construction Management would be considered an asset, however not required.

CCIL Certification for Asphalt or Aggregate would be considered an asset, however, not required

Previous industry experience in
