Job Duties

Paving Personnel for the 2024 Construction Season. Performs either rough grade or fine grade finishing, spreading, and mixing materials on roadway.

Must be

able to understand grades and have knowledge of plans, drawings, and overall road construction.

Responsible for equipment checks and informing fleet department of mechanical problems with equipment.

Ability to

operate other equipment is considered an asset.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Experience 2-3 years’ experience of working in the paving and asphalt industry.

2-3 years’ experience operating paving equipment2-3 years’ experience working on municipal and highways paving projects.

2-3 years’ experience and understanding of paving and paving processes

Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.

Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.

Willing to work overtime, as required.

Must comply with the company’s drug & alcohol program, including testing  knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.

communicate and report effectively in a

team environment

Compensation and Benefits $30.00-$40.00 /hour straight time hourly rate

The position is eligible for overtime. All hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day or 44 hours in a week shall be paid at 1.5 times the straight time rate.

Project work is scheduled 6/1, 10-hour days – schedule flexible to change (Municipal)
