Punch Press Operator
The Punch Press Operator is responsible for operating power presses to produce stamped metal parts that meet quality and production standards. This role ensures machines run efficiently, parts meet specifications, and work is completed safely in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements of the Punch Press Operator
- 4+ years of punch press experience
- Previous experience in metal stamping or press operation preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
Responsibilities of the Punch Press Operator
- Operate power presses to stamp and form metal parts according to specifications
- Load and unload raw materials, including starting and changing coils
- Monitor press operation (jog, run, stop) to ensure safe and efficient production
- Inspect parts using measuring tools and complete required quality checks
- Accurately complete production logs and enter data into the ERP system
- Read and follow blueprints and work instructions to maintain quality standards
- Communicate with supervisors regarding production issues or quality concerns
2nd shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $26.00 – $28.00 an hour, based on experience
