Full job description
Position Scope:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who will plan and oversee the end-to-end delivery of assigned system-level projects and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and requirements.
Key responsibilities:
Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.
Defines project scope, deliverables and requirements in collaboration with clients.
Determines resources and budget requirements, cost estimates, and timelines.
Identifies project risks and develops and implements migration and contingency plans.
Monitors project delivery against timelines and ensures timely completion.
Oversees the activities of the project team and monitors project task completion.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients.
Manage client communication and expectations, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, health and safety requirements.
Manage OEMs, subcontractors and control contracts during the installation and commissioning phases of the project.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology or equivalent.
Minimum 5-10 years of project management work experience in the food processing industry.
Proven Project Management Skills, highly organized, goal-oriented, sense of urgency, detail oriented and able to manage changing priorities.
Strong technical foundation in process equipment and industrial automation systems.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines, understand business needs and objectives.
Advanced ability to develop and manage project budget.
Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve desired outcomes.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Highly developed PC skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Project Management Institute Accreditation or in progress is preferred.
Willing to travel to project sites as required from time to time (< 25%). Knowledge in the potato processing industry is seen as an asset. Proven track record of successfully managing 25+ million-dollar projects from initiation to closeout.
