Role Description The Site Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mississauga, ON, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role coordinates site crews and subcontractors, assigns tasks, monitors progress, and ensures work quality aligns with project specifications and company standards. The Site Supervisor manages site documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and material deliveries, and communicates regularly with project managers, clients, and inspectors. Responsibilities include enforcing health and safety regulations, conducting site inspections, resolving on-site issues, and supporting efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials. The role also involves proactively identifying risks, maintaining a clean and organized worksite, and fostering a collaborative, respectful environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Strong site supervision and construction management skills, including coordinating crews, scheduling work, and overseeing subcontractors.
- Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and building codes, with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices, including carpentry, concrete work, and general building maintenance.
- Proficient in health and safety practices, hazard identification, and compliance with occupational safety regulations.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to provide clear direction, feedback, and conflict resolution on site.
- Strong organizational and time management skills for maintaining site records, daily reports, and material tracking.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (e.g., email, project management or reporting software) for coordinating and documenting site activities.
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Foreperson, or similar role in construction; trade certification or technical diploma is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to Mississauga, ON; ability to work full-time in an on-site, physically active environment.
